Des panaches de gaz et de cendre ont été observés sur les images satellites fin avril et début mai. Toutefois, aucune anomalie thermique n’a été détectée. Une personne qui visitait l’île le 3 mai au matin a observé une petite émission de cendre. La couleur du niveau d’alerte pour l’aviation est passée du Vert au jaune, tandis que le niveau d’alerte pour le volcan était élevé à Vigilance le 6 mai.
Steam and gas plumes from the volcano were seen in satellite imagery by the end of April and early in May; no unusual thermal activity was identified. A visitor to the island saw a minor ash emission on the morning of May 3rd. The Aviation Color Code was raised to Yellow and the Volcano Alert Level was raised to Advisory on May 6th.
