Crise éruptive du Sinabung (Indonésie) // Eruptive crisis at Sinabung (Indonesia)

Le Sinabung (Indonésie) a connu une crise éruptive à 23h42 UTC le 1^er mars 2021. Le panache de cendres est monté à 5 km (12 km selon certaines sources, mais 5 km semble être la réalité) L’événement s’est accompagné de écoulements pyroclastiques atteignant 5 km sur le versant ESE du volcan. La couleur de l’alerte aérienne est momentanément passée au Rouge, avant de revenir à l’Orange. C’est la première éruption majeure du Sinabung depuis août 2020.

Sinabung (Indonesia) went through an eruptive crisis at 23:42 UTC on March 1^st, 2021. The ash plume went up to 5 km (12 km according to some sources, but 5 km seems to be the real thing)The event was accompanied by pyroclastic flows up to 5 km on the ESE slope of the volcano. The aviation colour code was momentarily raised to Red, then lowered to Orange. This was the volcano’s first major eruption since August 2020.
