16 heures: Depuis hier soir aux environs de 21 heures, le tremor connaît une hausse assez régulière. L’INGV indique qu’aux premières heures de la matinée d’aujourd’hui, la source du tremor s’est déplacée du Cratère NE vers le Cratère SE, avec une petite reprise d’acticité dans le pit crater sur le flanc est de ce cratère. Le temps est couvert, froid et humide sur l’Etna en ce moment de sorte que les panaches denses en provenance des autres cratères sommitaux n’ont pas forcément une grande signification.
19 heures: Ce soir, le tremor continue à croître et les webcams montrent une belle incandescence dans le pit crater du Cratère SE où se développe visiblement une activité strombolienne. La caméra thermique de la Montagonla indique clairement une anomalie thermique dans ce secteur.
22h30: les choses s’accélèrent sur l’Etna! Depuis quelques instants, un débordement de lave se produit au niveau du pit crater.
16:00: Since last night at 9 p.m. or so, there has been a steady increase in the volcanic tremor. INGV indicates that during the early morning of this day, the source of the tremor shifted from the north of the Northeast Crater toward the Southeast Crater, with the resumption of weak eruptive activity within the pit crater on the eastern flank of the Southeast Crater. The weather is currently very cloudy, humid and cold so that the dense emission of gas and vapour at the other summit craters of Etna may not have a great meaning.
19:00: This evening, the tremor keeps increasing and the webcams are showing a nice glow inside the pit crater of the SE Crater which is probably the seat of some strombolian activity. One can see a thermal anomaly in that area on the thermal camera on the Montagnola.
22:30: Things are accelerating on Mount Etna. Lava is currently overflowing from the pit crater.
