Selon la JMA, le Kirishima (Shinmoe-dake) sur l’île de Kyushu dans le sud du Japon vient de connaître un regain d’activité, après une période de repos qui a duré deux semaines. Cette nouvelle phase éruptive, alors que le pays a beaucoup de mal à se remettre du séisme dévastateur de vendredi.
Toutefois, rien ne prouve qu’il existe un lien entre les deux événements.
According to JMA, Kirishima’s Shinmoe-dake on Kyushu Island in southern Japan is spewing ash and rock again after a couple of quiet weeks, as the country struggles with the aftermath of the disastrous earthquake and tsunami in the north.
However, there is nothing to prove there exists a link between the eruption and Friday’s earthquake.
