La réunion en visioconférence du 20 décembre, à laquelle participaient l’INGV, la Protection civile, l’ARPA et l’Ispra n’a pas abouti à une décision définitive. Les participants ont décidé une « prolongation » de quelques jours de l’ordonnance qui interdit aux habitants de Vulcano Porto de dormir chez eux, sauf ceux ayant des chambres à l’étage. Ce nouveau délai permettra d’effectuer des mesures complémentaires du CO2 au sol dans 10 habitations à l’aide d’équipements spéciaux qui doivent arriver aujourd’hui sur l’île.

The videoconference meeting on December 20th, in which INGV, Civil Protection, ARPA and Ispra participated, did not result in a final decision. The participants decided on an « extension » of a few days of the ordinance which prohibits the inhabitants of Vulcano Porto from sleeping in their homes, except those with rooms upstairs. This new deadline will make it possible to carry out additional measurements of CO2 on the ground in 10 homes using special equipment which is due to arrive on the island today.
