Comme cela était prévisible au vu de la courbe ascendante du tiltmètre du Pu’uO’o, la lave a fait sa réapparition dans le cratère où elle a commencé à recouvrir la partie basse. Elle continue à alimenter de nouveau depuis quelques jours le lac au fond du pit crater de l’Halem ‘uma’u. Tout cela signifie que la situation est redevenue normale sur le Kilauea. Reste à savoir maintenant si la lave va percer l’East Rift Zone et s’écouler le long du pali pour atteindre l’Océan Pacifique, spectacle qui a disparu depuis l’effondrement du Pu’uO’o au mois de mars dernier.
As could be predicted judging from the rising graph on the Pu’uO’o tiltmeter, lava has reappeared in the crater where it started spreading over the lower part. It has also been feeding again for a few days the pond at the bottom of the Halema’uma’u pit crater. This means everything has gone back to normal on Kilauea. The only thing to know is whether lava will come out somewhere along the east Rift Zone and travel down the pali to reach the Pacific Ocean, a show that has not been seen since the collapse of the Pu’uO’o crater floor last March.
