Suite à une visite aux cratères sommitaux de l’Etna, Boris Behncke (INGV Catane) confirme qu’une petite activité strombolienne assez bruyante a débuté dans la Bocca Nuova. On apercevait hier soir, grâce aux webcams, une légère incandescence au-dessus du cratère (voir capture d’image ci-dessous). A noter toutefois que tremor et simicité connaissent actuellement un certain déclin.

After a visit to the summit craters, Boris Behncke (INGV Catania) confirms that a small but noisy strombolian activity has started inside Bocca Nuova. Last night, the webcams showed slight incandescence above the crater (see screenshot here below). However, seismicity and the tremor are currently declining.
