L’activité du volcan et les émissions de cendre sont stables depuis plusieurs jours et la lave continue à s’écouler vers le nord. La bouche éruptive a une largeur d’environ 200 mètres et une profondeur de 150 mètres. L’éruption ne donne actuellement aucun signe d’épuisement.
La cendre perturbe encore le trafic aérien en Islande. Tous les vols de la compagnie locale Air Iceland étaient différés ce matin, ainsi que des vols au départ et à l’arrivée de Keflavik.

Activity at the volcano and the production of ash have been steady over the last few days and the lava stream continues to flow to the north. The vent is some 200 metres wide and 150 metres deep. There is currently no sign the eruption is coming to an end.
Ash is still disrupting flights in Iceland. All flights with domestic airline Air Iceland have been postponed, as well as flights to and from Keflavík International Airport.
