Turrialba (Costa Rica): Ça recommence! // Turrialba is doing it again!

Cela devient une habitude: Le Turrialba a connu un nouvel épisode éruptif le 7 avril vers 2 heures du matin, avec la projection de matériaux incandescents et une colonne de cendre qui est montée jusqu’à 2 km de hauteur. Le moment le plus spectaculaire de l’événement s’est produit lorsque les images de la webcam (voir ci-dessous) ont montré un faisceau de flammes au milieu du nuage de cendre.

Des retombées de cendre ont été observées jusqu’à Cuidad Quesada et dans des localités comme Alajuela, Escazú, Heredia and Curridabat.

It is becoming a habit: Turrialba volcano went through another eruptive episode on April 7^th at 2:07 a.m. with a column of hot rocks and ash above the crater. The ash plume reached a height of 2 km. The eruption’s most dramatic moment came 14 seconds into the video (see link below) when a rush of heat from the crater flashed white on the screen.

Ashfall was reported as far away as Cuidad Quesada and across Alajuela, Escazú, Heredia and Curridabat, among other places.
