18h30: Depuis la mi-journée, on observe à nouveau une hausse de la sismicité et du tremor. Regain d’activité dans la Bocca Nuova? Difficile à dire pour l’instant car le temps est couvert sur le volcan.

21 heures: La webcam postée à Bronte confirme qu’il s’agit d’une reprise d’activité de la Bocca Nuova.

Comme cela était prévisible, la Préfecture de Catane vient de prolonger jusqu’au 22 août 2012 l’interdiction d’accès au sommet de l’Etna.

18:30: Since the middle of the day, there has been again a sharp rise of the tremor and seismic activity. This might mean new activity within Bocca Nuova. It’s hard to say for the moment as the summit of the volcano is in the clouds.

21:00: The Bronte webcam confirms the start of new activity within Bocca Nuova.

As could be predicted, the Prefecture of Catania has extended until August 22nd the interdiction of access to the summit of Mount Etna.
