Chaitén (Chili)

Comme je l’indiquais précédemment, une webcam (http://www2.sernageomin.cl/ovdas/ovdas7/webcam_chaiten.html)

a été installée fin janvier à 800 mètres du dôme central du Chiatén mais la météo ne permet pas toujours de voir le sommet du volcan. Aujourd’hui, la visibilité est bonne et j’ai pu capturer l’image ci-dessous qui montre que le volcan est toujours actif. Le dernier rapport faisait état d’incandescence. Il faudra attendre la nuit pour s’en rendre compte.

was installed 800 metres from the centre of Chaitén’s lava dome complex in late January but poor weather conditions do not always allow to see the summit. Today, visibility is quite good I could capture the picture here below that shows the volcano is still active. The latest report explained the dome was incandescent. We’ll have to wait until dark to make sure of it.
