Le journal La Sicilia signale dans son édition d’hier soir l’apparition d’un panache de cendres émanant du cratère central de l’Etna. La situation géodynamique du volcan est stable, même si on enregistre un léger tremor sur les instruments de mesure.
Ce matin, le panache de cendres, pas très dense, est emporté vers le NE par un vent assez violent.
A noter que ce genre d’émission de cendres est assez fréquent sur le volcan et correspond en général à des effondrements à l’intérieur des conduits éruptifs.
Dans le même temps, la situation est stable sur le Stromboli. La lave continue à s’écouler à partir de la bouche à 500 m d’altitude.
In last night’s issue, the local paper La Sicilia informed its readers that an ash plume was coming out of the central crater of Mount Etna. The geodynamic situation of the volcano is stable, even if a slight increase in the tremor has been recorded by the measuring instruments.
This morning, the ash plume, which is not very dense, is blown away by a strong wind towards the NE.
This kind of ash emission is quite frequent on the volcano and usually corresponds with collapses inside the eruptive conduits.
Meantime, the situation is stable on Stromboli. Lava keeps on flowing from the vent that opened 500 m a.s.l.
