Selon le dernier bulletin de l’INGV de Catane, la situation est calme, avec un dégazage plus ou moins régulier des cratères sommitaux.
A noter cependant que le 6 février une explosion phréatique s’est produite au niveau de la bouche qui s’était ouverte sur le versant est du Cratère SE. Elle s’est accompagnée d’une élévation de la température qui est passée – pendant quelques minutes – de la valeur ambiante de 2°C à 27°C. Le calme est ensuite revenu sur le massif encore bien blanchi par la neige.
According to the latest bulletin of the INGV of Catania, the situation is quiet, with a more or less regular degassing of the summit craters.
On February 6th, a phreatic explosion occurred in the vent that had opened on the eastern flank of the SE Crater. It was accompanied by an elevation of the temperature that increased – for a few minutes – from the ambient value of 2°C to 27°C.
Then, everything was calm again on the volcano which is still white with snow.
