Eruption du Sakurajima (Japon)

Le Sakurajima a connu un violent épisode éruptif aujourd’hui vers 18h56 (heure locale). Toutefois, l’éruption ne présente pas de danger pour les habitants de Kagoshima. La JMA a élevé le niveau d’alerte volcanique à 3, ce qui signifie que l’approche du volcan est interdite.
Voici une petite vidéo de l’éruption d’aujourd’hui. On remarquera les éclairs qui apparaissent de temps en temps dans le panache de cendre.

Sakurajima volcano went through a violent eruptive episode today at around 6:56 p.m. (local time). However, there was no immediate word of danger to the residents. JMA has upgraded the volcanic alert level to 3, which prohibits people from entering the area.
Here is a short video of the events. One can notice the flashes of lightning in the ash plume.
