Ce soir, la webcam Etnatrekking pointée sur la Bocca Sud-Est permet de constater que le cratère est le siège d’une belle activité strombolienne. Elle me rappelle celle que j’avais observée en Juillet 1998 avec, en prime, une jolie coulée de lave qui avait sa source à la base du cône et avançait lentement sur le versant sud. J’avais alors planté ma tente au pied du cône, avec l’ouverture tournée vers le cratère. Allongé dans mon sac de couchage, je profitais d’un superbe spectacle….
This evening, the webcam directed towards the SE Crater allows to see that the vent is the seat of a nice strombolian activity. It reminds me of what I observed in July 1998, together with a beautiful lava flow which took its source at the bottom of the cone before slowly going down the southern slope. I had pitched my tent at the foot of the cone, with the door turned towards the crater. Lying in my sleeping-bag, I could then enjoy a marvellous show…
