Le tremor reste à un niveau élevé (tel qu’il était au début de l’éruption). Le nouveau cône domine maintenant le Cratère Dolomieu. Il recèle un petit lac de lave trahi par les projections au-dessus du cratère. La lave s’écoule en tunnel, avec très peu de débordements.
Il est dommage que la webcam ne puisse donner des images de l’éruption. Elle semble définitivement en panne et l’image visible sur l’écran est plus du ressort de l’art moderne que de la volcanologie.
The tremor remains at an elevated level (as it was at the beginning of the eruption). The new cone towers above the Dolomieu Crater. It conceals a small lava lake betrayed by the ejecta above the crater. Lava flows in a tunnel, with very few overflows.
It is a pity the webcam should not be able to give pictures of the eruption. It seems to be definitely out of order and the image on the screen belongs to the universe of modern art rather than to volcanology.
