D’après le site web livescience.com, un nouveau lac de lave a fait son apparition au fond du cratère nord du Nyiamuragira. La lave s’agite encore dans les profondeurs et son niveau fluctue mais les scientifiques pensent que l’on pourrait bientôt avoir affaire à un lac de lave permanent, comme dans le cratère du Nyiragongo à quelques kilomètres du Nyiamuragira.

According to the livescience.com website, a new lava lake has appeared in the North Pit Crater of Nyamuragira volcano. Lava is still deep within the crater and its level is fluctuating but scientists think the volcano may eventually spawn a long-lived lava lake like neighbouring Nyiragongo.
