Depuis le début de l’éruption du Tolbachik, on se demande s’il existe un lac de lave dans le cratère principal de l’éruption. Voici une photo aérienne prise par V.V. Yaschuk et qui semble montrer qu’un lac (ou au moins un chaudron) existe effectivement.
L’éruption continue sans changements significatifs.

Par ailleurs, la NASA a mis en ligne deux images du Tolbachik en date du 6 juin 2013. La première montre le volcan avec des couleurs naturelles. L’autre image le montre en lumière infrarouge qui fait ressortir les zones chaudes les plus actives.

Since the start of the Tolbachik eruption, many people wondered whether there was a lava lake in the main crater. Here is an aerial photo taken by V.V. Yaschuk that seems to prove a lake (or at least a caldron) does exist.
The eruption continues without any major changes.

Besides, NASA has released two images of Tolbachik acquired on June 6th 2013. One of them shows the volcano with natural colours. The other image is presented in infrared light so that the hottest active zones are clearly visible.
