Gorely (Kamchatka)

D’après le KVERT, l’activité sismique du Gorely était au-dessus de la normale à la fin du mois de juin. Des panaches de gaz et de vapeur s’échappaient du cratère. Un volcanologue qui travaillait sur le volcan le 17 juin a remarqué qu’une nouvelle bouche s’était ouverte sur la paroi interne SE, juste au-dessus du lac. La bouche était incandescente et émettait des gaz à 800-900°C. La couleur du niveau d’alerte pour l’aviation a été élevée au Jaune.

According to KVERT, by the end of June seismic activity from Gorely was above background levels, and gas-and-steam plumes rose from the crater. A volcanologist working at the volcano on June 17th saw that a new vent had opened on the crater’s inner SE wall, just above the lake. The vent opening was incandescent, and gas was emitted at temperatures of 800-900°C. The Colour Code for aviation was raised to Yellow.
