Il semble régner une certaine confusion en RDC quant à l’origine de la lueur visible dans le ciel depuis la ville de Goma. Au début, les dépêches de presse faisaient état d’une éruption du Nyiragongo. Au final, il semblerait que ce soit le Nyiamuragira qui serait entré en éruption. J’utilise le conditionnel car l’information demande confirmation.

Le Nyiamuragira serait entré en éruption vers 19 heures (heure locale). La lave aurait recouvert la route entre Goma et Beni.

There seems to be some confusion in the DRC about the origin of the red glow that could be seen in the sky from the city of Goma. At the beginning, press reports said it was caused by an eruption of Nyiragongo. Actually, it seems Nyiamuragira did erupt. One should use the conditional as the piece of news needs to be confirmed.

Nyimuragira is said to have erupted around 19:00 (local time). Lava is also said to lave invaded the highway between Goma and Beni.
