Tangkuban Parahu (Ile de Java / Indonésie)

   Le Mont Tangkuban Parahu qui dresse ses 2084 mètres à proximité de Bandung a émis de la cendre depuis le cratère Ratu. Le VSI conseille aux visiteurs de rester à au moins 1,5 km du cratère où l’on observe une couche de cendre de 1 mm sur la lèvre. Le niveau d’alerte a été élevé à 1 (Waspada) le jeudi 21 février 2013 à 22h30 (heure locale). La dernière éruption du Tangkuban Parahu remonte à 1983.

   As Mount Tangkuban Parahu near Bandung in West Java has been spewing volcanic ash from its Ratu crater, the VSI has advised tourists and climbers not to venture within 1.5 kilometres from the crater. Volcanic activity has left 1 millimetre of volcanic ash around the rim of the crater. The alert level was raised from normal to one (Waspada) on Thursday at 10:30 p.m. local time. The volcano’s last known activity dates back to 1983.

Etna (Sicile / Italie): 4ème paroxysme en 3 jours ! // 4th paroxysm in 3 days !

   L’Etna est en très grande forme! La phase de repos aura été de courte durée! Le tremor montre que le Nouveau Cratère SE a connu un nouvel épisode d’activité en deuxième moitié de nuit. Il a, semble-t-il, été plus bref que le précédent. Les conditions météo n’étaient pas optimales, mais la webcam L.A.V.E. montre qu’une activité strombolienne a de nouveau secoué le cratère, accompagnée d’un petit débordement de lave.

   Mount Etna is in great shape and only took a very short break. The tremor shows this morning that the New SE Crater was affected by a new episode of activity during the second half of the night. It looks as if it was shorter than the previous one. Weather conditions were not very good but the L.A.V.E. webcam shows some strombolian activity as well as a small lava overflow.
