Selon le dernier rapport de l’INGV, l’activité est restée stable au cours des derniers jours. L’écoulement de la lave se fait « en éventail » dans la partie supérieure de la Valle del Bove, entre 2500m et 2100 m d’altitude. Si je confronte ces dernières informations avec la situation du volcan avant mon départ début juillet, il semble évident que l’éruption est en nette régression. Le tremor a d’ailleurs nettement baissé d’intensité pendant mon absence. On s’achemine peut-être lentement vers la fin de l’éruption qui a commencé il y a tout juste trois mois.
According to INGV’s latest report, activity has been stable over the past few days. The lava flow has “the shape of a fan” in the upper part of the Valle del Bove, between 2500 and 2100 metres a.s.l. Comparing this information with the situation of the volcano before my departure early in July, it seems clear that the eruption is on the wane. The level of the eruptive tremor has decreased a lot. All this may mean that the eruption that began three months ago is going through its last moments.
