Au cours d’une conférence qui aura lieu jeudi soir à 18 heures (3 heures du matin le vendredi, heure française) en Californie, Jake Lowenstern, responsable de l’Observatoire de Yellowstone, fera part à son auditoire des dernières informations sur l’activité sismique, les déformations du sol et les sources hydrothermales dans le Parc.

Il parlera également de l’histoire géologique du Parc National de Yellowstone et expliquera comment les scientifiques contrôlent la région et les autres volcans afin de prévoir les éruptions.

During a talk due to take place at 6 p.m. (3 a.m. French time on Friday) on Thursday night in California, Jake Lowenstern, scientist-in-charge of the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory, will inform the audience about what is happening now with earthquakes, ground uplift and hydrothermal activity in the Park.

He will also talk about the geological history of Yellowstone National Park and how scientists are monitoring the area and other volcanoes in order to forecast future eruptions.
