Une éruption sous-marine a probablement débuté le 28 septembre en Mer Rouge au NO de l’île Jebel Zubair  et au SO de l’éruption 2011 – 2012. Aucune information fiable en provenance du Yémen n’est accessible. Seules les images satellites ont révélé une anomalie thermique et un panache de vapeur, ce qui tendrait à prouver que l’éruption a (ou a eu) lieu à faible profondeur.

 

A submarine eruption probably started on September 28^th in the Red Sea NW of Jebel Zubair Island and SW of the site of the 2011 – 2012 eruption. No reliable information has been released by Yemen. Satellite images have shown a thermal anomaly and a steam plume which might indicate that the eruption occurred at a shallow depth.
