Les scientifiques qui travaillent sur la zone de La Restinga à El Hierro ont confirmé qu’ils avaient la preuve d’une double éruption sous-marine. Toutefois, il faudrait qu’un submersible puisse être envoyé dans les profondeurs de l’océan pour savoir ce qui s’y passe exactement.  Le tremor se maintient à un niveau élevé et stable, même s’il semble moins intense qu’hier. Les volcanologues espagnols pensent que la double éruption sous-marine a permis d’évacuer de la pression et qu’une éruption sur l’île est peu probable.

Une vaste tache de couleur verdâtre est toujours visible à la surface de l’océan (voir vidéos ci-dessous).

The scientists working on the La Restinga area of El Hierro have confirmed that there is clear evidence of two underwater eruptions. However, what is happening beneath the sea surface won’t be known for sure until a submersible can be sent to look at the area. A green spot can be seen at the surface of the ocean. The tremor is still quite high and regular, although less intense than yesterday. Spanish volcanologists think the double submarine eruption helped to alleviate the pressure and that an eruption on the island is unlikely.
