L’Alaska Volcano Observatory a ramené hier la couleur du niveau d’alerte au Jaune, après l’avoir portée à l’Orange pendant le week-end, suite à un accroissement de la sismicité et l’émission d’un panache de cendre et de vapeur. Les scientifiques pensent que le volcan va probablement continuer à s’agiter et émettre des gaz pendant encore plusieurs mois. D’après eux, on n’observe pas de montée de magma sous le Redoubt.
The AVO lowered the alert to Yellow Wednesday following a brief increase in seismicity, as well as a steam and ash plume during the weekend. However, scientists expect the volcano to tremor and emit gases for months. According to them, new magma beneath Mount Redoubt doesn’t show any signs of upward movement
