Le volcan reste bien actif. La semaine dernière, un panache de gaz et de cendre montait jusqu’à 3,1 km d’altitude. Le dôme de lave continue à croître, en particulier dans sa partie orientale. La couleur du niveau d’alerte reste au Rouge, le maximum. Rappel : on peut voir les images du panache éruptif du Chaitén grâce à l’une des webcams (nord) mises en ligne à l’adresse suivante :

The volcano is still quite active. Last week, a gas-and-ash plume was rising to an altitude of 3.1 km a.s.l. The lava dome continues to grow, especially on the eastern side. The alert level remains at Red. Images of the plume can be seen thanks to one of the webcams (North) at the following address:
