Après une dizaine de séismes, le tremor est apparu vers 15h30 (heure locale). L’éruption a lieu dans le Dolomieu et se déroule à mi-hauteur, dans la partie ouest, sous le cratère Bory. Plusieurs coulées de lave forment une petite mare au fond du Dolomieu. Le réseau NOVAC (instruments de mesures de gaz) a enregistré une forte concentration de SO2 au bord de l’Enclos.
Le volcan est en alerte 2. L’accès à l’Enclos ainsi que l’atterrissage d’hélicoptères restent interdits.

After ten earthquakes or so, the eruptive tremor started at 15:30 (local time). The eruption occurred inside the Dolomieu Crater, half-way between the rim and the bottom of the crater, in the western part, under the Bory Crater. Several lava flows are forming a small pond at the bottom of the Dolomieu. The NOVAC network (gas measurement instruments) has recorded a high SO2 concentration along the Enclos.
Local authorities triggered the alert 2 level. The access to the Enclos as well as helicopter landings are forbidden.
