Selon l’Observatoire, le 14 septembre, 94 séismes sommitaux ont été enregistrés, dont 1 avec magnitude 2,1 ; 7 avec des magnitudes entre 1,5 et 2 ; 10 avec des magnitudes entre 1 et 1,5. D’après un ami volcanologue qui travaille à l’Observatoire, il est évident que le Piton est dans une période de réinjection magmatique, phénomène confirmé par la déformation enregistrée au sommet.
According to the Observatory, on September 14th, 94 earthquakes were recorded, among which one had a magnitude M2.1; 7 were between M1.5 and 2; 10 between M1 and M1.5. According to a friend of mine who works as a volcanologist at the Observatory, it is obvious the Piton is going through magma re-injection, which has been confirmed by summit inflation.
